Energy Systems have a wealth of experience Working with ARC’s by supplying them with the necessary Standby Power Solution to meet the high standards demanded by The National Security Inspectorate to achieve NACOSS accreditation.

We know the requirement:

“A Standby power supply should be should be of sufficient capacity for the uninterrupted operation of all communication, signalling, monitoring, recording, essential ventilation and essential lighting equipment, including that required for the necessary surveillance of the ARC for the period of 24 h based on 1.5 times the average requirement”

This can be achieved by:

Standby Batteries

“Standby battery with associated charging equipment”

This we achieve by providing an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with batteries. Battery runtime can be significantly reduced by adding 1 or 2 generators (see below).

or

“A standby generator or generators supported by a Standby battery with associated charging equipment”

This we achieve by providing either 1 generator system supported by a UPS with 4 hour battery, or 2 generators supported by a UPS with 30 min battery.
